We are very excited to add the gorgeous Lichen and Moss Shawl pattern to our online pattern collection! This pattern was designed and generously donated by Sue Lazenby.
”Inspired by patterns of lichen & moss, this is a highly textured shawl in 2 sizes. Lichen stitch is paired with moss stitch bands which are accentuated by reverse stocking stitch. These contrast with the wide central garter stitch panel. This makes an interesting, yet easy knit for the advanced beginner. A versatile shawl, that can be worked in a variety of yarns from fingering through to worsted weight. It is best worked in a solid yarn to show the textured patterns well.”
What you need to get started:
- Fingering weight (4ply) yarn, 400 – 437 yd / 366 – 400 m per 100g skein. Preferably all wool or a wool blend.
- US # 6 / 4.0 mm 40” / 100 cm circular needle or size to achieve desired gauge. Needle size is a recommendation only.
All patterns have been generously donated to the project by designers to raise funds for MSF and are available for your knitting and crocheting pleasure. In return, we ask that you make a donation to p/hop based on the hours of enjoyment you will get from these patterns. p/hop is based on an honesty box system and the amount you donate is completely up to you!
