We are excited to introduce the fabulous Bark Shawl pattern to our online collection! This pattern was designed and generously donated by Sue Lazenby.
“Bark shawl is an easy and quick knit using slipped and drop stitches (no purling), contrasting with garter rows for texture. It is worked top down, with increases at centre and edges on right side only. It would work best in a solid or semi-solid yarn to highlight the texture.”
What you need to get started:
- Fingering weight yarn, 437 yd/400m – 460 yd/421 m per 100g. Preferably all wool or a wool blend.
- Approximately 437 yd / 400 m – 460 yd / 421 m; 720 yd / 660 m for larger version (2 colour larger version: MC 370 yd / 338 m ; CC 350 yd / 320 m ).
- US # 8 / 5.00 mm, 40″ [100 cm] circular needle. Needle size is a recommendation only.
- 4 stitch markers; waste yarn & crochet hook if required for provisional CO; blocking wires & pins.
All patterns have been generously donated to the project by designers to raise funds for MSF and are available for your knitting and crocheting pleasure.
