Staircase Mitts

The Staircase Mitts pattern has been kindly donated by designer Karen Butler.

Knitted in the round, Staircase Mitts have thumb gussets and corrugated ribs. Instructions for left and right mitts are identical; designed to avoid a pattern jog at the beginning of the round.

The pattern gives three different sizes and is a fantastic stashbuster, using only 25g each of two colours of 4ply yarn.

What you need to get started:

  • Yarn: 25g / 105m (115 yards) fingering/4ply yarn in two colours
  • Needles: 2.75mm / US size 2 needles for working in the round

All patterns have been generously donated to the project by MSF supporters and are available for your knitting pleasure. In return, we ask that you make a donation to p/hop based on the hours of enjoyment you will get from knitting these patterns.
