Major Groove

The fabulous Alix of Au fil des jours has donated this great pattern for some really cosy mitts to P/Hop.

Major Groove Mitts

Alix tells us that “Major Groove” refers to the larger of the two helical spaces between the two helical strands of the DNA molecule.  “This double helix twist reminded me of its proportion, and I hope it will be a quiet inspiration to creativity in all your endeavours.”

What you need to get started:

  • Yarn: 125 metres of Aran or DK yarn
  • Needles: 5mm/size 8 US DPNs or Circulars
  • This pattern is also available in French: MajorgrooveFR

All patterns have been generously donated to the project by MSF supporters and are available for your knitting pleasure. In return, we ask that you make a donation to p/hop based on the hours of enjoyment you will get from knitting these patterns.
