Welcome back! I do hope that you all had a lovely April. It’s been a super busy on the home front for us here with the littlest volunteer starting to crawl and explore her surroundings. Don’t worry though! All samples are tucked away safe from tiny fingers and no yarn has been harmed (she has her own stash).
Since it’s May, that means Me Made May! Not familiar with the social media hashtags #mmmay or #MeMadeMay? Well, it’s the time of year when makers from all over world post up all their lovely hand made wardrobe items on their accounts. The items can be knit, crocheted, sewn, etc. It would be lovely to see the p/hop patterns you’ve made for your wardrobe so please tag us on Instagram @msf_phop, so I can see & share your makes with the rest of the community.
The littlest volunteer and I will be heading to Dublin this month to share p/hop with the vibrant knitting community there. The provisional dates are either the evening of Saturday the 20th or Sunday the 21st. There will be a few of our most popular patterns to inspect and squish as well as a chance to chat over some bubbles. Watch this space folks!
Next month is World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP) on June 10th. Will you or your knit group gather to celebrate? If you’re gathering, please consider using some of the fundraising resources MSF have put together to raise awareness p/hop and the work MSF do.
Also on next month is Woolfest! I’m really excited for this year now I can fully participate, not being able to pet the sheep last year was so hard. Are you heading up as well? Would you like to hang out with us on the p/hop stall for a couple of hours so we can refuel with lunch or cake. Lets be honest, it’s usually cake.
And before you head off, we’ve passed the 65,500 mark over on JustGiving! Thanks very much to everyone who has donated.
Thanks for stopping by & happy making!
