Hello! Can you believe it’s March already?! There’s so much more light and touches of spring in the days now. Hopefully you’re having a lovely weekend so far and enjoy this short p/hop update.
Thank you!! You’ve helped P/HOP raise over £64,000 for MSF.
What’s going on this month
Some of you may be on the Edinburgh Yarn Festival (EYF) newsletter list and have seen the lovely Mica & Jo included p/hop the latest edition. If not, don’t worry! They also kindly put up a static page on the main EYF site highlighting the work p/hop do for MSF. The newsletter mention has even brought in a few generous donations.
In addition to the newsletter & webpage, the organisers genreously let us send up a box of p/hop flyers. The flyers have photos of a couple of our patterns along with a short explanation about p/hop. If you see the flyers, please share with your fellow makers and friends.
Speaking of festivals, Woolfest and Fibres East have decided on exhibitors and p/hop will have a stall at both events this year. Woolfest takes place June 23rd and 24th in Cockermouth, Cumbria and Fibre East takes place in Amphill, Bedfordshire on July 29th & 30th. If you’re planning to visit either of the shows, stop by. It would be lovely to meet you or if you have a couple of hours to spare we’d be very appreciative of help on the stall.
Here’s a few ideas on how you can help out p/hop for MSF:
- Share our spotlight article from the EYF site.
- If you’re going to EYF, share flyers and wear your p/hop patterns.
- Volunteer 2-3 hours on the p/hop stall at Woolfest or Fibre East.
- Working on a p/hop pattern? Write up a blog post about your project and send it to us to put up on the p/hop blog.
Next Month | Makers in the field
A former MSF field worker has graciously taken the time to answer a few questions about her time in the field and making. I’ll share this interview with you next month.
I’d love to bring you more of these posts. What you would like to know about makers in MSF? Or maybe you are a maker in the field? It would be great to hear from you!
That’s it from me this month. Happy making folks!
All the best, Heidi
