Happy birthday to p/hop – we’ve turned 7!
Who could believe it? p/hop started from humble beginnings, when in 2008 Natalie Fergie came up with an idea to use knitting as a way to help raise funds for MSF. p/hop has grown in leaps and bounds over the past seven years to become a project that has reached thousands of knitters, crocheters, and designers across the world who have all donated in a range of creative ways. And what has everyone achieved over the past 7 years?
You’ve raised MASSIVE £60 000 for MSF!
You’ve helped us raise such an amazing amount! It’s hard to put that in to words just how much everyone’s contributions have achieved. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated a pattern, to everyone who has donated money online or at shows, to everyone who has donated samples, and to everyone who has knitted like crazy and spread the word about p/hop. You’ve all made a real difference!
We’ve also had great support from many yarn dyers along the way who have donated wonderful goodies to p/hop, often when they see p/hop at yarn shows around the country. So what does this mean? It means we have a fabulous stash of goodies to giveaway!
Yep – it’s our birthday, so we want to give pressies to our wonderful p/hop supporters.
All of next week we’ll be running competitions for the p/hop 7th birthday giveaway. Simply check back on the blog from Monday 30th November to Sunday 6th December for details of a different competition every day. Don’t forget to spread the word!
