With the boys round: day three
Less productive tonight – played 5-a-side, then the boys came round afterwards…. But, didn’t break the pledge and did two more rows while they battled it out on the playstation. They were a little bit surprised when I pulled out the wool and needles, but I only had to endure ten minutes of ribbing before I reminded them that it was my house and they were quite welcome to leave via the first floor window
Got tickets for the Arsenal youth cup final with my friend Marie (also of MSF), so at least we might see the gooner kids win something this season!
Thanks for all your words of encouragement yesterday – really overwhelming! Not sure if Natalie’s competition is still open but feel free to comment here or with everyone else on yesterday’s post.
See you tomorrow and thanks again….

Good going! I started out doing 2-3 rows at a time, too, and before long I could happily knit for hours (with some tea breaks). It’s great when you get to the stage where you can actually solve mistakes (“that doesn’t look right…”) and even watch the TV at the same time.
Keep up the good work!

Good luck – I loved the video in Lesotho – where was it shot? I was there 1987-1988 and it was so nice to see it again. On the knitting front I’m impressed – your tension looks really good and it looks really even – well done.

Hey Jen, this is on the mountain just above the village of Morija, where I stayed. What were you up to there?

You look relaxed and happy, so that’s good. I’m very impressed that you’re sticking with it. maybe you’ll be hooked by the time the scarf is long enough ? …
p.s. What competition ?
Which I’m not entering.

Keep going Pete, it won’t be long before your friends get used to you knitting, they might even be asking you to make scarves for them too or even asking you to teach them how to knit their own.
We had a young 20 something bloke at our knitting group last month knitting socks for his girlfriend and we all thought it was brilliant.
Good luck and I loved the video.
