Design the p/hop ‘road’ t-shirt

The days are getting longer, the nights are getting shorter (spot the genius) and p/hop is hitting the road! Yes, so far the p/hop touring party will be going to Ravelry Day, FibreFest and the iKnit weekender. Others are to be confirmed. At each festival we will be giving out free patterns (with info on how to stump up once the pattern is knitted of course), plus answering questions on p/hop and MSF in general.

So, what we really need are t-shirts for these events.

A) to make us visible

B) to make us attractive (a tall order for some of us)

C) to make people curious as to what p/hop is

I know you lot are all very creative, so I thought maybe you’d like to have a go at designing these t-shirts? No cash prize for the winner obviously, but a lot of love and respect from us and a printed t-shirt of your own of course.

Below is a template for t-shirts. Feel free to grab it (point the mouse, right click and ‘Save target as…’) and try a design. If you want to print it and do a hand design, that’s fine (our address is here for snail mail entries). If you want to do a digital design, feel free (just email to me on pete.masters at london.msf.org).

If you would like to use an MSF logo, go here to grab one. If you would like to use the p/hop logo, click here

Cool, look forward to seeing the designs. And you lot at the events I hope!

Pete

PS. We’d love to know if you are going to these events, so leave a comment or give us a shout over at ravelry

A new pattern has arrived..

Big thanks to Terri Bate for designing and donating this lovely pattern.

So.. now we have a scarf, some mittens, a beanie and with Debbie’s sock pattern on the way we are heading for a complete p/hop accessories set for next winter. An entire knitted p/hop outfit is surely worth a donation! Anyone interested in designing a sweater..

Happy knitting!

How much? No! Really?? £1000?

In a frenzy of SkipNorth swapping this week, p/hop donations rocketed over £1,000. Reaching this amount is a significant achievement and goes to show that £5 or £10 here and there really adds up!

Whether you enjoyed a free pattern, swapped some stash at SkipNorth or watched Pete knit up a mountain, your support of p/hop goes a long way.

Just how far….

Well, I had a look into the figures and these are some of things MSF can do with a £1,000*:
Buy enough highly nutritious food to help 303 severely malnourished children back on their feet within 2 weeks.
